RANGE ROVER CLASSIC
3.5 V8 - SUFFIX A
January 1972 - 7900 miles/12,700km -LHD
Restored in 2009 by Zagato's famed and respected Mario Galbiati, this Suffix A has covered just 7900 miles or 12,700 kilometres since.
A truly iconic vehicle, the Range Rover is now celebrating its 50th year. Take a trip back in time to the early 1970's where the story first began as British Leyland pioneered a completely new and unique class of vehicle.
Beloved of Sultans, Kings, Queens and mere mortals, the Range Rover continues to be the go to choice, and the original car for 'all seasons and all reasons' as British Leyland stated themselves in their advertising campaigns.
This particular model was delivered new to Italy and registered on its original and current plates in January 1972. It was one of the first LHD models sold.
It benefited from a complete restoration in 2009, by Mario Galbiati, the celebrated former Zagato worker, and head of the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato project.
In his post Zagato career, Galbiati is also responsible for having restored a large number of important Alfa Romeo cars for the Italian marque's museum.
This example has been completely cosmetically restored in its original Tuscan blue and mechanically perfected for its next owner.
