We are delighted to present a beautiful and rare Autobiography L322 in Nara Bronze over Arabica and Ivory, complimented with Ash Burl wood veneers, a car that we have owned and enjoyed since January.
The appeal upon purchase was the high specification, rare colour, beautiful interior, rare Ash wood and a solid MOT and service history, with no prior MOT advisories for rust to sills, body, or front or rear subframes which on the L322 is becoming an ever more common issue.
In our ownership of nearly a year, this example has benefitted from a thorough examination and in depth servicing. This was not limited to the standard, expected and obvious areas or parts, but also preventative maintenance to ensure it is ready to be enjoyed by subsequent owners for the future.
With £7800 spent, on a whole host of areas outlined below and 1000 miles driven since its advisory free MOT pass, this already excellent example is now superb.
Works undertaken include:
-
Oil cooler replaced
-
Gearbox service
-
Transfer box service
-
Both differentials serviced (on each axle)
-
Engine service and replace filters
-
Rear axle dropped, rear subframe removed, subframe bushes replaced, rear subframe inspected, sanded, wire brushed and wax oiled. Photos of this work are available upon request.
-
Front subframe inspected, wire brushed and wax oiled.
-
New rear prop shaft fitted
-
Sill covers removed on both sides for inner and outer sill inspection
-
Off side rear sill replaced, near side inspected.
-
Whole undercarriage sand, wire brush and wax oiled
-
New rear brake lines
-
New handbrake assembly and shoes
-
New rear calipers
-
New front control arms
-
New CV boots
-
Wheel bearing replaced
-
Off side rear shock absorber replaced
-
New heater control valve
-
4 wheel alignment
Both rear arches are immaculate as can be seen in the photographs provided. Any interested party will be pleased to read the MOT history of the vehicle online, which shows not a single mention of structural rust to any area of the vehicle. In contrast to many, which can show one or many of the following; inner or outer sills, mounting points, suspension components or front and rear subframes. Cumulatively, this can be very expensive to put right.
Following the above works, we finished by fitting a new set of our tyres of choice for the L322, particularly in winter (despite being an all season tyre), the General Grabber AT3. Crucially, with a 55 profile which we find provides a much better ride than the standard 50 profile tyre found on a lot of L322 Range Rovers. Quiet on road with a wonderful ride, but offering improved control and grip off it, they have already proved most useful on a shoot.
As one would expect, with the level of aforementioned investment and works undertaken, this L322 drives superbly.
Power and torque from the twin turbocharged 4.4 TDV8 is immense, the gearbox is smooth and the air suspension works quickly and as desired in arrival mode, normal ride height and off road height.
This is a very high specification last of the line Autobiography L322 in a sought after colour and interior combination with comprehensive elective and preventive maintenance undertaken.
