RANGE ROVER WESTMINSTER L322 4.4 TDV8

Offered for sale is one of the very last L322 examples built, a September 2012 registered Westminster Edition in Baltic Blue, with comprehensive service history and demonstrable care and investment.

 

Production of the L322 finished in July 2012, with the factory being shut down and refitted in August to make way for the L405, making this example one of the final examples to leave Solihull. 

 

With over £6000 spent in the last 12 months by both the previous owner and ourselves, this example, with just 98k miles is in excellent condition and we have covered over 800 miles in this vehicle to ensure it is fit for purpose, as we do in every L322 we sell.

 

It has benefitted from the following works:

- New oil cooler

- New front discs and pads

- New rear discs and pads

- New upper rose joints

- New motors for both front heated and cooled climate seats

- Refurbished Westminster ‘Style 17’ 20 Inch Wheels

- Sill cover removal to properly check the condition of the inner and outer sills. Condition excellent. Sanded and waxoiled for future protection and sill covers replaced.

- Full paint correction and machine polish

As with all L322 we sell, LA62 OMJ has a very good MOT history and crucially where it really matters on the L322; no advisories, defects or mentions whatsoever of rust to sills, jacking point, arches, body, or front or rear subframe which sadly on this model is becoming an ever more common issue and cumulatively can be very expensive to rectify. 

 

We simply will not entertain the purchase or sale of examples with MOT advisories in the past showing corrosion to any sills, subframes, arches or jacking points.

 

Mechanically, power and torque from the twin turbocharged 4.4 TDV8 is immense. The gearbox is smooth and the air suspension works quickly and as desired in arrival mode, normal ride height and off road height.

 

Anyone test driving a similar example must push the car hard above at least 2750 rpm in order to engage the second, sequential turbo. 

 

Under heavy load, doing so ensures that both turbos and turbo actuators are performing well. Similarly, that there are no cracks, either big or small with the inlet manifold or intercooler pipes. Either of these issues will result in ‘restricted performance’ due to sensors recognising the loss of vacuum and too much air in the system.

 

This is a well specified, very late Westminster run out model of the much loved L322 generation of Range Rover, in a very desirable colour combination with full service history, low mileage, and has been thoroughly tested and inspected by ourselves and drives superbly.

We have owned and daily driven a 2011 4.4 TDV8 L322 for almost 7 years covering 63,000 miles from 135k miles to now, 198k miles as a family vehicle. We know these cars very well.

 

Aside from our high mileage daily example, we have several other L322 in our private collection, and have owned and driven every single model year, engine variant, and gearbox of the L322 from 2002-2012 aside from the Td6.
